Giving Pills to Cats.

We recommend using a pill popper (available from reception or our shop).

• Wrap your cat in a cotton towel or with amenable individuals, tuck them under your arm.
• With the fingers of one hand open its mouth a little and with the other hand insert the pill popper in its mouth.
• Quickly push the plunder. This shoots the pill to the back of the throat.
• Close your cat’s mouth and stroke underneath until the lips are licked. When this happens you know the pill has been swallowed. Hopefully!
• Products such as Pill assist from Royal canin are available at the clinic which are a tasty treat in which medication can be hidden.
